I am not someone who ranks really anything. I hate questions like 'What's your favorite song' 'Where is your favorite place to travel' 'Who is your favorite author' and usually just have a default answer ready in case I need to pull one out for an ice breaker. With that being said, I can confidently say Monstrilio is in my top 5 books of all time. Maybe even top 3. The book is dark and funny and so deeply human, even if all of the characters are not. It explores grief and love and becoming who you're meant to be. Please, go read it.

This month we upgraded our energy system for an epic new powerhouse, the Bluetti. Already, I’m in love. The Starlink (which is a satellite for internet) eats a ton of power, so we needed something more reliable than our last setup, and fast charging. The AC180 does just that, effortlessly. So whether you’re like us and need portable power on the go, for camping or for living, or want a home backup, they’ve got you covered. Ps- they’re also having a massive spring sale right now, so if you’ve been thinking of dabbling in solar, this is your sign.

Working from Coffee Shops

This time, I'm coming for all the creatives who, like me, struggle sometimes to get those creative juices flowing. As someone with ADHD, it's easy for me to get distracted and really overwhelmed when working from the same spot all week long. I need a break. This month I truly found my process for when I feel stuck and overwhelmed: working from a cafe. To be more precise, going to a cute cafe, ordering my caffeine of preference, and a bit of sugar in the form of a pastry is definitely a cure to my problems. Bonus points if more people are working on their computers at the cafe (it gives me motivation and a sense of work environment I enjoy.)

Multimedia Moodboard

We each chose an adjective without knowing what the others were going to choose. The challenge: create a moodboard that encapsulates these words through art, music, books, poems, movies, etc.

The words: Quirky, Playful, Extravagant.

A Bit of Q2 Learning

TwoLips Feature

OJOY came to us with a specific vision: create a bold, gender-neutral brand for their dealcoholized wine company. In an emerging market that often targeted pregnant women, we knew we needed something direct and out of the box. Fortunately, they loved the logo and characters just as much as we did (which is to say a lot). It does not hurt that their first product, Sparkling Blanc, is also fricken delicious.
