Mena Cherrie Bright Parties: Event Coordinator

So I got married in Portugal last week and there is no casual way of saying that but I would be remisced if I didn’t include that in our Cool Shit series because it’s some of the coolest shit I’ve ever done. And one of the best decisions we did was to hire Mena Cherrie Bright Parties as our wedding coordinator.

Idk how traditional coordinators operate, but Mena was AMAZING. She made what most people assumed would be stressful,(planning a wedding internationally) something incredibly fun and stress-free. Not only that, she and her team made it so none of us had anything to do other than have a good time. So if you by chance are planning on organizing an event in Portugal, contact Mena. Liz's Cool Shit

Parque Nacional Peneda-Gerês, Portugal

Before the trip, I genuinely had no concept of what the Portuguese landscape had in store, but let me tell you, for being such a small country their terrain packs a big punch. To experience it first hand, we hiked in the (only) national park, Parque Nacional Peneda-Gerês. It sits at the north of Portugal on the border of Spain, encompassed by mountains and waterfalls and adorable towns throughout the countryside.

We did a 6km loop, one specifically warned to have elevation gain, but boy did it pay off. Almost the entire hike up was filled with a floor of ferns, moss, wildflowers, agave, succulents and massive trees. On the way down cattle grazed the valley, and massive boulders erupted out of seemingly nowhere. They say the view from the top makes it all worth it, but truly every step was breathtaking. 10/10 would recommend.

Youtube Channel: Nathaniel Drew

It is nice sometimes to hear encouraging words, wise words, or just consume content that will make you grow and feel better about the world. In those instances, I turn to Nathaniel’s youtube channel (or podcast). His sensitivity not only to the content and information, but to the whole creation of the video is underestimated. Although he is young, his wisdom and ways to see the world (or try to understand it) is incredibly meaningful. If I had to describe Nathaniel in one word it would be "sensibility" and I am grateful for that!
