Book: The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches

Holy moly. I don’t remember the last time I wanted to live inside a book as much I did this one. I usually am excited to finish a book to know how it ends but was genuinely sad that I only had 300 pages with this story. Found family, love, magic, and a whole bunch of lovable characters make this book the perfect cozy fall read.

Podcast: Maintenance Phase

Abbott Elementary is one of those shows where you hear everyone talking about it and it's truly because it is just that good. The show is a mockumentary sitcom television series a la Office/ Parks & Rec, that follows an under-funded public elementary in Philly. The show is heartwarming, poignant, and most importantly, funny. Not to mention the characters are *chefs kiss*. Another massive perk, the 2nd season just started which means there is enough content to binge while also being able to get on the bandwagon early (I've still only seen the 1st & last episodes of GOT because I was simply too late to the fandom). You can watch it on Hulu or HBO Max.

App: Insight Timer

When I first started exploring meditation, I’d frequently get dissuade (aka bored), and could never figure out what all the fuss was about; I couldn’t just “shut off”. Turns out, that was because I wasn’t finding the right type of meditation that best suited my needs or interests. Which is why I love insight timer, they have thousands of meditations ranging from chants to resets to guided cleanses, and everything in between. They can be 2 minutes or 2 hours, you have full range to tailor it to what you are looking for. It’s a free app, and definitely worth exploring if you've ever thought about or considered meditation, or if it's a regular part of your routine

Podcast: Darknet Diaries

A nice break from the bleakness of your regular podcast, or perhaps, intensity/frivolity of your lifestyle podcast - Darknet Diaries has me completely enthralled with all the various (some funny, some downright terrifying) deep dives into true hacking stories. Bonus - they have episodes in Spanish as well.

Album: Taylor Swift Midnights

Taylor's awaited album finally released at the end of this month and I couldn’t be more happy about it! This album doesn’t have a single bad song and every one is a great melody with amazing lyrics (which is often the case for Taylor.) This album is definitely one of my favorites so far and it's been on replay constantly! the rhythm is different from her other discography, with quite a pop feeling to them, catchy melodies, and funny videos to accompany the songs. Jack Antonoff and Taylor really did an incredible job with the lyrics which is autobiographical in nature and different from Folklore and Evermore (her past two albums) in worlds of fantasy and dreams. If you have never given Taylor a chance, this is your sign to do so! I truly think that October is always Taylor's month.

After the leaking of the Dobbs decision, we told our network that we were offering our design services pro-bono for any local organization fighting for reproductive rights. We were connected with the Wisconsin Abortion Support Network (WASN) which is a network of abortion doulas that provide information and resources to pregnant individuals.

We helped them build an inclusive, welcoming, friendly brand that helps to destigmatize reproductive services such as abortion. If you would like more information regarding WASN please check out their website at wiabortionsupport.com
